Monster Of A Truck

We know that Ford is the leading manufacturer of pickup trucks; after all, the F-150 is the best selling vehicle today in the United States. There's something about the truck which makes it juts look so cool without even trying to look good. Its big brother, the F-Series Super Duty is even more jaw-dropping.

And now, for those who have been planning to buy an F-Series Super Duty but has been calling it off waiting for a better deal, the time has come for you to buy one. Only months after its launch and Ford has already given the monster of a truck with a host of new features.

Check out these optional equipments which can come with the F-Series Super Duty if you are willing to spend a bit more. The automaker lists the trucks optional equipments:

" 5.4-liter 3-Valve TritonÒ V-8 with 5-speed manual with Tow/Haul Mode; 6.8-liter 3-Valve TritonÒ V-10 with 6-speed manual; 6.8-liter 3-Valve TritonÒ V-10 with 5-speed automatic; 6.4-liter Power StrokeÒ Diesel V-8 with 6-speed manual transmission; 6.4-liter Power StrokeÒ Diesel V-8 with 5-speed automatic transmission; 17-inch chrome clad steel wheels; 18-inch premium chrome-clad steel wheels; 18-inch premium forged polished aluminum wheels; 20-inch premium polished forged aluminum wheels; Dual alternators; Extra heavy duty alternator; Electronic shift-on-the-fly; Engine block heater; SecuriLockÒ Anti-Theft Ignition; Traction control; PowerScopeÔ Trailer Tow Mirrors; TowCommand integrated trailer brake controller; Transmission power take-off-provision; Privacy glass; Power sliding rear window; Bodyside molding; Lower accent two-tone paint; Power slide moonroof; Reverse camera system; Stowable bed extender; Tailgate step; Adjustable pedals; SIRIUS® Satellite Radio; Audiophile AM/FM Stereo with in-dash six-disc CD/MP3 player and eight speakers; Navigation radio with in-dash screen and DVD ROM and Audiophile AM/FM stereo with in-dash six-disc CD/MP3 player; Rapid-Heat Supplemental Cab Heater; Heated seats; Power seats; Universal garage door opener; Upfitter switches." Wow huh?

With that host of optional equipments, I think the, F-Series Super Duty has become even more attractive to consumers. This move by Ford to give the truck more features shows that it is indeed serious in its turnaround plan. Remember though that Ford is not only offering large trucks like the F-Series Super Duty but also fuel efficient smaller cars. That combination is sure to bring Ford back into contention in the auto market.

New York Celebrates the 63rd Annual Columbus Day Parade

I know, I know. You are so excited about the event. I mean, who is not? Imagine the most gorgeous Maserati luxury cars and sports cars lined up in front of you? Don’t tell me you’ll not drool over their elegant designs and well engineered styles. Well, certainly not me because just like you, I am also a huge fan of Maserati cars.

And now, there they go again, and they will be in New York mind you. The 63rd Annual Columbus Day Parade will be happening on the 8th day of October 2007 and several Maserati cars will go lining up at the said show to pursue its goal of helping a particular charity by auctioning a Maserati car. Yes, and don’t be surprised if you will see the Powerful 2008 Maserati GranTurismo on the event as it goes on raffle. You don’t want to miss this rare chance, do you?

One among the Maserati cars you will see on the event will be the 1929/1931 Maserati Spyder which is equipped with a super power V16. Imagine a car with that much muscle in its engine. Don’t you think it’s scary? Well I don’t think so. The car was actually famous because of its 1829 record to a 2007 Quattroporte Automatic four-door sedan that goes 0 to 60 in 5.5 seconds.

A parade will follow after the show. The show will also use the 2008 Maserati GranTurismo for the raffle and the proceeds will be going directly to the Columbus Citizens Foundation and will be used for its scholarship program. The charity also is the organizer of the Columbus Day Parade.
